Climate Change Rally

Join the biggest ever climate change rally in the UK in London. A human wave of people will be flowing through London on the 5th of December. I will be going with a coach from the Cafod office, from Salford Diocese. Hoping to put pressure on the politicians meeting in Copenhagen in December.


On the 10th of October Fairtrade in Bolton and Bolton Wanderers Football Club received an award from the Fairtrade Foundation in London. This award was given for the 'Best Fairtrade Banana Activity' during Fairtrade Fortnight, 2009.

Over 2000 children and pupils and staff from Bolton schools broke the world record for the most people eating a fairtrade banana at the same time at the Reebok Stadium.

Supporting this event are the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Ricardo Gardiner, Mustapha Riga, the Bolton Wanderers mascot Lofty and myself dressed as a Fairtrade banana.

Monday, 26th of October

Later in the month I will also be attending ' To Die For 09 ' shopping evening. This event will be held at the St Thomas Centre, Farnworth, Bolton on Monday, 26th of October at 7.30pm.

Susie is organising this event to raise money for two charities www.street-soccer.org which is a Manchester based charity helping disadvantaged young men in Manchester and www.hopefor justice.org.uk which is a charity which works to free those who are enslaved and exploited in cities around the world.
